A complete lap is 9 kilometres. The rock changes its hues gradually with both the arrival and departure of the sun, transforming from its rich, red ochre evening dress to its terracotta daywear, making sunrise and sunset the most popular viewing times. Join a group tour or take the scenic Red Centre Way tourist drive from Alice Springs, but be sure to stop at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.
